Stories for Growing Minds
When my daughters were little, I often found myself looking for stories they could really relate to — stories about children like them, growing up in a world that felt familiar.
I wanted stories that were fun to read, but that also had something more to them. Stories that gently introduced ideas like kindness, courage, perseverance and making good choices — without making children feel like they were being taught a lesson.
And so, I started writing.
Mira, Avni and Diya came to life through these stories, experiencing the little ups and downs of childhood — friendships, school, family, new experiences, disappointments and those small moments that can feel very big when you're a child.
I hope that when children read these stories, they see a little bit of themselves in them — and perhaps discover something along the way.

Meet the Author
I’m Charulatha C., the author and founder of Beaming Child. My journey has taken me from engineering at IIT Kharagpur to an MBA at ISB Hyderabad, and eventually to something I never quite planned — writing books for children.
As a mother of two girls, I often found myself looking for stories that children could truly relate to — stories that were fun, meaningful and rooted in everyday childhood.
That search eventually led to Mira, Avni and Diya, and the world of Beaming Child.
Through these stories, I hope to give children characters they can see themselves in, while gently encouraging values like kindness, courage, perseverance and making good choices.
